Church Farm
Church Farm became the centre of Isabel’s life and activity four years after giving up The Farmhouse School. She established a smaller school here in 1934, for refugees and deprived children.
Lessons focused mainly on reading, writing and arithmetic alongside work on the farm. A sense of fun was weaved through life at the school - the children dressed up for games like charades and went on outings and picnics.
